NFT NYC, the mainstay global gathering for the NFT community, is upon us. This year promises to be a tidal wave of creativity, with a vibrant Artist Village and a lineup of visionary speakers ready to propel the NFT conversation forward.

A Canvas Unfurled: The NFT NYC Artists Village

The Artist Village at NFT NYC is a must-see for anyone seeking a front-row seat to the artistic revolution unfolding within NFTs. It’s the lynchpin of the convergence of digital and physical realms.

Here, you’ll encounter the diverse ways artists use the blockchain, from a distribution method, a conceptual component, to an integral work medium. The exhibition blurs the lines between the tangible and the virtual.

The Artist Village is not just a viewing experience; it fosters meaningful connections. Mingle with the artists, delve into their creative processes, and discover the stories woven into their NFT artworks. This is your chance to witness the future of art firsthand from the movement’s vanguard.

The Evliya Çelebi’s Travelogues

I will be showing a video piece from my “The Evliya Çelebi’s Travelogues” series. Evliya Çelebi was a 17th-century Ottoman traveler who wrote a ten-volume travelogue, Seyahatnâme. The volumes detail his travels throughout the Ottoman Empire and beyond. The series uses AI to recreate passages from his travels.

The video “Red Apple, Seyahatnâme. Constantinople, Ottoman Empire, 1630s.” uses AI to reinterpret Çelebi’s writing on Hagia Sophia, Istanbul’s first imperial mosque.

“an image of Mother Meryem (the Virgin Mary), holding in her hand a carbuncle as big as a pigeons egg, by the blaze of which the mosque was lighted every night. This carbuncle was also removed in the birthnight of the Prophet, to Kizil Almà (Rome), which received its name (Red Apple) from thence.”
